Spajic: Roadmap for Montenegro's EU membership in 2028 will be set out
Podgorica, October 1 (Hibya) - Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said he discussed with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen the steps toward his country's European Union (EU) membership in 2028.
Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said Montenegro is leading the EU's new wave of enlargement and that the steps to be taken until the country's membership in 2028 will be clarified in a roadmap to be announced. Spajic said that during his meeting with Ursula von der Leyen in Podgorica, they discussed Montenegro's achievements and the reform process. He noted that reforms, including those related to the rule of law, are being implemented in line with high European standards and that they are ready to meet the EU's strictest criteria.
