Natural gas (NAT GAS) bucked the broader market trend, gaining 1.96 percent and closing the day at $3.014.
In contrast, ULSD HO (Heating Oil) fell 0.54 percent to $4.657. Brent crude declined 0.44 percent and traded at $95.21.
RBOB Gas (Gasoline) slipped 0.30 percent to $3.0945, while crude oil (OIL) lost 0.26 percent and ended the day at $90.77.
