Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated that efforts to promote social equality and prevent violence will continue.

The statement came at a time when discussions about femicides and gender-based violence have once again come to the forefront in Spain. Emphasizing the government's equality policies, Sanchez called for unity and determination.

In his statement, Sanchez said: “We will not stop until we have a fully equal, fair society free from violence against women.” Offering his condolences to the family of the deceased woman, Sanchez added: “With unity and determination, we can stop this pain.”
