According to a statement by the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel met with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

The statement noted that bilateral relations and opportunities for cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, and connectivity were discussed during the meeting.

It was also stated that the recent decision to open a Portuguese Embassy in Baku has further strengthened relations, and in this context, evaluations were made regarding the development of cooperation.

The statement also reported that issues on the international agenda were discussed, and commitment to multilateralism and international law was reaffirmed.
