Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi.

During the call, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to further strengthen them, as well as the latest regional developments, diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation, and joint coordination.

Al-Thani stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy, emphasizing the need to implement the provisions of the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran, preserve freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and strengthen regional security and stability.

Al-Thani also reaffirmed Qatar's support for all initiatives aimed at reducing tensions in the region and achieving lasting peace.
