Prevot: Attacks against civilians violate international law
Brussels, April 7 (Hibya) – Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot stated that attacks on civilian infrastructure constitute a violation of international law.
Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot made assessments regarding attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Prevot said: “Deliberate attacks against civilian infrastructure are clear violations of international humanitarian law.”
Prevot emphasized that such attacks increase the suffering of civilians and that international humanitarian law was established to protect civilians and essential services.
