Pakistan’s FM Dar held a phone call with EU High Representative Kallas
Islamabad, April 14 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a phone call with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
According to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar welcomed the regular contacts between Pakistan and the EU, stating: “We appreciate the close contacts between Pakistan and the EU in the context of ongoing regional developments.” Dar also shared the latest developments regarding the recent Islamabad talks.
The statement noted that Kallas appreciated Pakistan for its constructive role in facilitating direct negotiations between the United States and Iran held in Pakistan, while both sides emphasized that “dialogue and diplomacy must continue for the resolution of the conflict.” It was also stated that both sides positively assessed the development of cooperation between Pakistan and the EU and agreed to maintain close contact on issues of mutual interest.
