In Japan, the Nikkei Index fell 1.13% to 66,705.97 points, while Australia's ASX 200 Index traded at 8,626.70 points, down 0.68%. In India, the Nifty 50 Index lost 0.10%, falling to 23,393.70 points.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index (HSI) declined 1.03% to 24,994 points, while China's Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.04% to 4,059.39 points.
