Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Lula da Silva described the approval in the Chamber of Deputies of legislation envisaging shorter working hours as a “historic and civilizing victory”.

Lula stated that the regulation includes reducing working hours while preserving wages, adding that this would allow workers, especially women employees, to spend more time with their families.

Emphasizing that two days off per week and more free time would improve quality of life, Lula said the regulation was made possible through the support of broad segments of society.

The Brazilian President thanked Chamber of Deputies Speaker Hugo Motta and the lawmakers who supported the proposal.

It was reported that the regulation will now be discussed in the Senate and that the government will continue its efforts for the approval process.
