Lavrov: Russia will retaliate against Western maritime piracy
Moscow, August 14 (Hibya) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Russia would retaliate against Western countries' actions targeting Russian vessels and their maritime activities.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in a statement, emphasized Russian President Vladimir Putin's position on the issue and the measures Russia would take.
Referring to the response to Western actions, Lavrov said, "President Putin made it clear: Russia will retaliate against Western maritime piracy."
Pointing to the scope of the targets of the retaliation, Lavrov concluded his statement by saying, "We will choose the targets ourselves – including vessels serving countries that have made piracy and plunder part of their official policy."
