European Commissioner Hadja Lahbib made a statement regarding cooperation between the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN).

Lahbib said in a post on her social media account that the EU and the UN share a strong partnership based on a commitment to multilateralism and humanitarian principles.

Lahbib stated that the EU’s role as a reliable and predictable partner is reflected in its support for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the broader humanitarian system, adding that she was pleased to exchange views with the UN Humanitarian Coordinator.
