Lahbib: My condolences to the victims of the earthquake in Venezuela
Brussels, June 25 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib issued a message of condolence following the earthquake in Venezuela, stating that EU-funded partners are already on the ground and that additional assistance is ready to be deployed.
European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib spoke about the latest situation in the earthquake-affected area, ongoing humanitarian relief operations, and crisis management support.
Expressing her condolences to those who lost their lives, Lahbib said, "My condolences to the victims of the earthquake in Venezuela."
Noting that they are closely monitoring developments, Lahbib said, "We are following the situation together with our field team and partners on the ground."
Highlighting the ongoing operational activities and the EU's commitment to support, Lahbib stated, "Our EU-funded partners are already providing assistance on the ground, Copernicus has been activated, and we are ready to scale up our support."
