Lahbib said that dozens of people were killed in an explosion at a local mining depot in Shan State.
She stated that EU humanitarian partners are providing support to those affected and called on all parties to allow uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.
The statement emphasized that conflicts in Myanmar continue to cause civilian casualties.
