Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten spoke about the new appointment made to oversee the recovery process in the region and the projects that will be carried out.

Sharing the appointment decision, Jetten said: "Henk Nijboer has recently been appointed Government Commissioner for the Groningen and North Drenthe Recovery Operation. He has dedicated himself to repairing damage caused by earthquakes and strengthening homes."

Referring to other development programs being implemented, Jetten stated: "He is also working on the Nij Begun program, which aims to maximize the region's social and economic opportunities."

Jetten concluded his statement by saying: "I wish him every success in this important role."
