The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that, in coordination with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), two commanders from Hamas' military wing were killed during operations carried out in the Deir al-Balah and Shati areas of the Gaza Strip.

According to the IDF, the operation in Deir al-Balah targeted Abdullah Adnan Taha Abu al-Latif, one of the commanders of Hamas' Nukhba unit, while the operation in the Shati area targeted Jalal Zabih, one of the commanders of the Daraj Tuffah Battalion.

The statement claimed that the two men participated in the Oct. 7 attacks and had recently been planning attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. It said the operations were conducted to eliminate the alleged threat.
