London, May 15 (Hibya) - UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper made a statement regarding migration policies and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper stated that 46 countries gathered at the Council of Europe would reach an agreement on reforms to the European Convention on Human Rights regarding migration issues, emphasizing that this step would support her country's border security.
Referring to the importance of diplomatic initiatives, Cooper said, “After months of dedicated British diplomacy, 46 countries will gather today at the Council of Europe to agree on critical reforms modernizing the way the European Convention on Human Rights addresses migration issues and will support the UK’s determined steps on border security.”
Highlighting the impact of foreign policy on domestic security, Cooper concluded her statement with the following words:
