Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney made a statement on supporting vocational education and strengthening union training centres.

Highlighting the importance of apprenticeship training and the role of unions, Carney said: "When apprentices want to learn from the best, they turn to unions. That's why we are expanding the Union Training and Innovation Program."

Referring to the details and objectives of the program, Carney concluded: "We are improving union training centres, ensuring they have the equipment they need, and placing more apprentices into workplaces more quickly."
