Carney: We added Pacific Link to the list of projects of national importance
Fort McMurray, October 1 (Hibya) - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that the government had added the West Coast oil pipeline, under the name Pacific Link, to the list of projects of national importance.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said in a statement that under legislation aimed at building Canada, the government can designate major infrastructure projects as projects of national importance, allowing them to be implemented more quickly.
Carney said in Fort McMurray that the West Coast oil pipeline had been added to the list of projects of national importance under the name Pacific Link. He said the move would enable Canada to fully realize its potential as a global energy power.
