Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa on the sidelines of the summit held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

Referring to the current state of relations, Carney said, “Over the past year, Canada and the European Union have moved with speed and ambition to deepen the new EU-Canada Strategic Partnership of the Future.”

Providing information on the content and objectives of the meeting, Carney stated, “I discussed how we can accelerate these efforts and how we can go further to unlock the full potential of the Canada-EU partnership.”
