Carney comments on the appointment of Annette Ryan
Ottawa, April 22 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that he welcomes the appointment of Annette Ryan as the Parliamentary Budget Officer of Canada.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney made a statement regarding the appointment of Annette Ryan as the Parliamentary Budget Officer of Canada. Carney noted that Ryan has more than 25 years of experience in economic analysis, budget policy, taxation, and public finance.
He stated that Ryan will provide parliamentarians with the independent and comprehensive analyses necessary to ensure government accountability and to oversee the effective management of Canada’s public finances.
