Budrys: Ukraine’s EU membership is the strongest security guarantee for Europe
Vilnius, June 1 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys met with Ukraine’s Deputy Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Taras Kachka, in the capital Vilnius.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys held a meeting in Vilnius with Ukraine’s Deputy Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Taras Kachka.
During the meeting, Ukraine’s European Union (EU) accession process was discussed.
Minister Budrys stated: "Ukraine’s EU membership is the strongest security guarantee for both Ukraine and Europe. Now that the politically motivated blockade by the Orban government has been lifted, there is no justification for further delay — accession negotiations should begin immediately, and all six clusters should be opened. Ukraine must join and fully bring its military, humanitarian, and economic strength into the Union. Delays only benefit our adversaries."
