Budrys: It is very important to enforce sanctions against Iran and its proxies
Vilnius, April 2 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys thanked UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper for coordination efforts aimed at ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys made a statement regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and international cooperation related to it, which is closely linked to global security and stability.
Appreciating the UK’s initiative, Budrys said: "We thank UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper for organizing the call of foreign ministers to coordinate practical efforts to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which is vital for global security and stability."
Speaking on sanctions and Lithuania’s position, Budrys stated: "It is very important to enforce sanctions against Iran and its proxies more strongly. Lithuania stands among partners on this critical issue."
