Berendsen: Netherlands will continue supporting the International Criminal Court
Amsterdam, October 9 (Hibya) - Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen said he met International Criminal Court President Tomoko Akane following the sanctions announced by the United States against the court and stated that the Netherlands would continue its support.
Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen said he met International Criminal Court (ICC) President Judge Tomoko Akane to discuss the sanctions announced by the United States against the ICC.
Berendsen said they were aware of the potential impact the sanctions could have on the court and its staff, adding that he told Akane the Netherlands would continue to support the ICC and its employees.
