Average cost of new vehicles in US to fall by $1,300
Washington, September 29 (Hibya) - The White House argued that the previous administration’s fuel economy standards and electric vehicle regulations would have increased vehicle prices, and said steps taken by President Donald Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy would reduce the average cost of new vehicles by $1,300.
The White House issued a statement on fuel economy standards and regulations concerning electric vehicles.
The White House statement said, “The Biden administration supported radical fuel economy standards and electric vehicle mandates that would have significantly increased vehicle prices.”
The statement argued that steps taken by President Donald Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy would eliminate those standards, saying this would reduce the average cost of a new vehicle for American families by $1,300.
The White House also said the measures would result in hundreds of billions of dollars in savings.
