Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand stated that Lebanon’s territorial integrity must be preserved, adding that Canada will continue to support international law and sovereignty.

Anand said that during her meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, they discussed the peace process, preserving the ceasefire, and ensuring stability in Lebanon. The meeting also addressed the central role of the Lebanese state and the issue of Hezbollah’s disarmament.

Reiterating that Canada is ready to provide support to the Lebanese people, Anand stated that contacts will continue.
