Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said that as the full extent of the devastation caused by the earthquakes in Venezuela becomes clearer, humanitarian needs continue to increase. She also announced that the Canadian government will match donations made by Canadians by contributing an equal amount to trusted humanitarian partners.

Highlighting the seriousness of the situation, Anand said, "As the full extent of the devastation caused by the earthquakes in Venezuela becomes clearer, humanitarian needs continue to grow."

Sharing details of the assistance campaign to be launched by the Canadian government, Anand stated, "For every dollar donated by Canadians to the Canadian Red Cross or the Humanitarian Coalition, Canada will contribute an equal amount to trusted partners to deliver life-saving assistance to those affected."

Emphasizing that Canada's support for Venezuela will continue, Minister Anand said, "Canada will continue to support the people of Venezuela and humanitarian relief efforts for as long as needed."
