Anand: Agreements worth more than $1 billion signed between Canada and Saudi Arabia
Riyadh, July 10 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced that during Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's visit to Saudi Arabia, 13 commercial agreements and memorandums of understanding worth more than $1 billion were signed between the two countries in the fields of mining, infrastructure, health technologies, education, and defense.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand made a statement regarding economic cooperation between Canada and Saudi Arabia.
Anand said that during the visit to Jeddah with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Canada carried out its first prime ministerial visit to Saudi Arabia in 26 years.
She stated that the two countries signed 13 commercial agreements and memorandums of understanding worth more than $1 billion in the mining, infrastructure, health technologies, education, and defense sectors, adding that these partnerships will provide significant benefits for workers, companies, and investors.
Anand also noted that Canada and Saudi Arabia advanced bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, artificial intelligence, critical minerals, and people-to-people relations.
