Al-Thani meets Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdelatty
Cairo, June 7 (Hibya) - Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, in Cairo.
According to a statement issued by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met in Cairo with Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them. They also reviewed mediation efforts between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as developments in Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Coordinated efforts to support mediation aimed at reducing tensions and enhancing security and stability in the region were also discussed.
Al-Thani stressed that all parties should respond positively to the ongoing mediation efforts, noting that these efforts would pave the way for addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, and help achieve a sustainable agreement that would prevent renewed escalation.
