Al-Khulaifi: Trust is the most valuable asset a mediator can possess
Doha, June 15 (Hibya) - Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, spoke at the 2026 International Mediation Policy Forum held at ETH Zurich.

In his speech, Al-Khulaifi emphasized that “trust is the most valuable asset a mediator can possess,” stressing that it can neither be imposed by force nor created through technology.
The statement noted that trust is earned through consistency, reliability, prudence, and long-term diplomatic engagement, and that Qatar’s mediation policies over the years have been based on these principles.
