Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski issued a statement regarding his conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Zelenski said they discussed the increase in Russian attacks and Ukraine’s defense needs, adding that new defense deliveries were being prepared.

Zelenski said, “New defense deliveries are being prepared, and we expect a new package to arrive in Ukraine soon. We discussed its contents.”

Zelenski said Ukrainian pilots would soon begin training in France on Rafale fighter jets, describing this as an important step for Ukraine’s combat aviation.

Zelenski said work was also continuing to establish production in Ukraine of French-made missiles and aerial bombs, adding, “We are actively preparing the FREYJA system. We discussed where we can move faster and agreed to address everything in greater detail at our meeting.”

Zelenski thanked Macron for France’s support for Ukraine.
