Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Washington as part of his official visit to the United States.

Following the arrival of Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan at Joint Base Andrews in Washington, they were welcomed by US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump.

Trump said he was very pleased to host Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan, noting that the visit had attracted attention around the world. Describing Xi Jinping as a “great leader,” Trump said the visit carried significant importance.

US President Trump also said they hoped to hold an in-depth exchange of views with Xi Jinping on developing relations between the two countries.
