Three-day national mourning declared in Colombia after military plane crash
Bogota, March 25 (Hibya) - The Colombian government announced a three-day national mourning for 69 soldiers and police officers who lost their lives in the crash of a Hercules C-130 military aircraft.
In the Hercules C-130 aircraft crash in Colombia’s Putumayo region, 69 soldiers and police officers lost their lives. The personnel were on a mission to transport troops and supplies to Puerto Asis.
The Colombian government declared a three-day national mourning.
Within this framework, flags will be flown at half-mast in public institutions, military units, police departments, and embassies abroad, and it was stated: “Military ceremonies will be held in all garrisons under the coordination of the Ministry of Defense.”
