Starmer: We will take every necessary step for children's online safety
London, April 16 (Hibya) – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer highlighted concerns over the impact of social media on children and called on technology companies to act.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he is aware that parents are concerned about the impact of social media on their children's safety.
Starmer said: “I know parents are concerned about the impact of social media on their children's safety. Their expectation for swift action is justified.”
Starmer noted that he has called on the top executives of X, Meta, Snap, YouTube and TikTok to act, stating: “Today, I am calling on the leaders of X, Meta, Snap, YouTube and TikTok to take action.”
He also added: “I will do whatever it takes to keep children safe online.”
