Russell: UN Humanitarian Air Service is vital for crisis-affected regions
New York, July 20 (Hibya) – UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS) plays a vital role for children and communities in crisis-affected regions.
UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said UNHAS carries out a vital mission for children and communities in crisis zones.
Russell stated, “The UN Humanitarian Air Service is a lifeline that ensures essential aid reaches children and communities in crisis-affected areas, including northern Nigeria.”
Thanking donors and the World Food Programme (WFP) UNHAS team, Russell said, “I thank the donors who keep this critical lifeline operating and the teams who make it possible.”
