Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a condolence message regarding the attack in Samaria, saying that he and his wife share the grief of the families of those who lost their lives.

Mentioning the names of those killed in the attack, Netanyahu said: "My wife and I share the deep sorrow of the families of the late Major Yuval Ezra, a battery commander in the Artillery Corps, and the late Master Sergeant (Res.) Benayahu Mellet, a member of the Havat Gilad emergency response team, who fell in the brutal terrorist attack that took place this morning in Samaria."

Offering his condolences on behalf of the public, Netanyahu said: "Together with all the citizens of Israel, we extend our deepest condolences to the dear families and wish a speedy recovery to all those who were injured."

Emphasizing the soldiers' struggle and the role of the security forces, Netanyahu concluded: "Yuval and Benayahu acted heroically to protect our citizens and fought the vile terrorists. Their courage and sacrifice will live in our hearts forever. I stand with the IDF soldiers and security forces who work day and night with determination and strength in the fight against terrorism."
