Istanbul, October 21 (Hibya) - Major stock market indices across the Asia-Pacific region showed mixed performance. The Nikkei 225 and Nifty 50 rose, while the ASX 200, Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite indices recorded declines.

According to CNBC data, the Nikkei 225 index gained 598.04 points to reach 64,673.46 points, while the Nifty 50 index rose by 178 points to 23,066.95 points.
Australia's ASX 200 index fell by 2.60 points to 8,814.30 points. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index lost 83.47 points, declining to 23,784.27 points, while the Shanghai Composite index dropped by 11.419 points to 3,723.952 points.
