Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten made a statement regarding his meeting with the United States Ambassador to the Netherlands, Joe Popolo.

Emphasizing the strategic ties between the two countries, Jetten said: "The United States is an important ally for Europe and the Netherlands and is vital for our security and prosperity. This morning, I welcomed the United States Ambassador to the Netherlands, Joe Popolo."

Referring to the global crises on the agenda, Jetten noted: "Naturally, we discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine."

Jetten also commented on the upcoming program of the Dutch royal family: "We also discussed the visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima to the United States next month; I will accompany them for a period of time. I look forward to establishing a strong working relationship with Ambassador Popolo."
