Israeli Foreign Ministry: Wave of antisemitism in the Netherlands is spreading rapidly
Jerusalem, March 14 (Hibya) - Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs drew attention to the increasing attacks against the Jewish community and institutions in the Netherlands and called on the Dutch government to take more concrete steps in combating antisemitism.
Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding incidents of violence and threats faced by the Jewish community living in the Netherlands.
The ministry's statement said:
"The wave of antisemitism in the Netherlands is spreading rapidly. We saw its scale in the pogrom against Israelis in Amsterdam in November 2024. Two days ago in the attack on the synagogue in Rotterdam. Yesterday in the attack on a Jewish school in Amsterdam. Where will the next attack be?"
The statement pointed to the responsibility of the Dutch authorities, saying: "The Dutch government must do much more to combat antisemitism."
