Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced that the recipients of the 2026 Israel Unity Jerusalem Award were honored during a ceremony held at the Presidential Residence.

Herzog stated that the award is presented to preserve the memory of Eyal, Gilad, and Naftali, who were killed 12 years ago, and to strengthen the spirit of unity and solidarity within Israeli society.

In his statement, Herzog said that during difficult times society must show solidarity not only to struggle together but also to live together, adding that the award recipients work to promote dialogue, mutual respect, and a culture of coexistence among different communities and groups.

Herzog emphasized that the award recipients demonstrated that it is possible to act in unity despite disagreements.
