French President Macron meets African Union Commission Chairperson Youssouf
Paris, April 13 (Hibya) - French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation with the African Union, highlighting France’s goal of being a reliable partner.
Macron stated that he was pleased to host African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.
In his statement, Macron said, “In an increasingly complex world, the African Union is an indispensable partner for France, the European Union, and the international community in promoting development, peace, and security.”
Emphasizing that France aims to strengthen its relations with the African Union, Macron said, “France aims to be a reliable and strong partner of the African Union on all these issues.”
Macron also noted that the Africa Forward Summit to be held in Nairobi on May 11–12 will enable a new phase of cooperation between the two continents.
