EU Commissioner Kos meets with Moldovan President Sandu
Brussels, June 4 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos stated that Moldova has reached an important stage on its path toward EU membership and announced that she discussed the negotiation process with President Maia Sandu.
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos made a statement regarding Moldova’s European Union accession process.
Kos reported that during her meeting with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, they discussed the opportunities that the opening of the first negotiation cluster would bring on the country’s path to EU membership.
The meeting also evaluated the contribution of EU accession reforms and European Union investment projects to Moldova’s economic growth and the benefits they would provide to citizens.
Kos stated that Moldova is preparing to take one of the most important steps so far on its European Union path.
