CENTCOM: We are present, alert, and ready to engage if necessary
Oman, April 15 (Hibya) – The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that U.S. naval forces are operating in the Gulf of Oman and are on high alert.
CENTCOM issued a statement regarding ongoing naval operations in the Gulf of Oman.
The statement said that United States Navy units continue patrol activities in the region and that the forces are “present, alert, and ready to engage if necessary.”
It was noted that these activities are carried out to ensure maritime security and safe navigation in the region, and that regular operations in international waters are ongoing.
