Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis emphasized the importance of diplomatic and economic ties with neighboring countries.

Providing information on the content of the meeting, Cassis said: “We discussed the relationship between Switzerland and the EU, as well as the importance of reliable relations with neighboring countries in light of geopolitical challenges.”

Referring to the ties between the two sides, Cassis said: “The close ties between Switzerland and the neighboring German state in the fields of work, research, and innovation are very important for both sides.”

Cassis concluded his statement by saying: “Thank you for your excellent 15 years of cooperation, Winfried Kretschmann.”
