Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said Lithuania stands in full solidarity with Poland and stressed the importance of strengthening air defense capabilities along NATO's eastern flank.

Referring to the airspace violation and the current security situation, Budrys said, "Lithuania stands in full solidarity with Poland following last night's violation of its airspace."

Highlighting the Alliance's air defense needs, Budrys stated, "Such incidents demonstrate that the security challenges facing the Alliance persist and underline the urgent need to further strengthen air defense capabilities across NATO's eastern flank."
