Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei claimed in a statement that the US administration had launched an unlawful war against Iran, driven by greed and arrogance. Baqaei said that US calculations and strategic assessments had failed, attributing this failure primarily to a misunderstanding of Iran and the Iranian people's resilience, determination and national pride.

Noting that the American people had sent a clear message to their administration, Baqaei warned that the consequences of miscalculations would become more severe if the current policy continued. He emphasized that attacking Iran would bring defeat rather than victory and that his country could not be forced into submission through threats or aggression.
