Eu Day Light

Asian markets showed a mixed performance on the final trading day of the week. While the Japanese stock market posted a slight gain, markets in Australia, India, Hong Kong, and China recorded losses.

In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index rose by 0.03 percent to 71,074.76 points. The S&P/ASX 200 index fell by 1.08 percent to 8,814.60 points.

In India, the NIFTY 50 index traded at 23,963.55 points, down 0.85 percent, while in Hong Kong the Hang Seng Index (HSI) declined by 1.59 percent to 23,924.81 points.

In China, the Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.43 percent and closed the day at 4,090.481 points.
