Arakchi: A region-wide ceasefire would accelerate Netanyahu’s imprisonment
Tehran, April 9 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Arakchi made assessments regarding the ongoing criminal case against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the political consequences of the ceasefire process in the region.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Arakchi spoke about tensions in the Middle East, ceasefire efforts, and developments in Israeli domestic politics.
Drawing attention to Netanyahu’s legal process, Arakchi said, "Netanyahu’s criminal trial resumes on Sunday. A region-wide ceasefire, including Lebanon, would accelerate his imprisonment."
Assessing U.S. regional policy and its economic repercussions, Arakchi said, "If the U.S. wants to collapse its economy by allowing Netanyahu to kill diplomacy, that would ultimately be its own choice."
Arakchi concluded his criticism of the Washington administration’s stance by saying, "We think that would be foolish, but we are prepared for it."
